Signs of Fall

Today the Sun rises and sets further. The leaves change color and lazily dance through the air on the way down to the ground. You sit and think back about the heated days of the Summer.

Wondering when you should have known. Reasoning as to why the obvious was not more so. Even in the face of it all you trusted and turned and looked the other way. So when the truth was told there was no other way then to say goodbye.

You allowed the lie to be over looked. You knew how you felt about the lie. Yet even in that moment when the best thing to do was to say goodbye you let the liar stay. Now you know better.

There can never be any kind of compromise when it comes to starting a friendship into maybe a relationship and you find they were less then truthful about everything. End it completely shut the door to the sorrow and heart ache they will eventually cause.

This seems to occur during the Fall…the end of it all…the promise of a warm kiss and a cuddle by the fire..ended always by the liar..
