You know I have to write this since Pride was here last weekend. I have been sort of reluctant to actually voice what I see and feel here in Kennewick Washington as a open/out Butch.
The lesbian community here is uhm NON EXISTANT!!
The local “Gay” bar is FOR GAY MEN MAINLY and not real lesbian accepting. Oh sure they pretend but fuck it the gloves are off and I am very tired of the clickish mother fuckers.
There is NEVER I mean NEVER a butch femme night at the gay “Out and About” that would be asking for a real deal. Oh and there is never a Drag King event at Out and About nope.
Goodness here is the clincher..I mean damn you know what if you are truly accepting of all virtures of the alternative lifestyles why dont you at Out and About make room for Lesbian events?
Why not have a Femme night or a Butch night?
I will tell you why cause LOL “its a mans world”
EVEN IN THE GAY COMMUNITY !!
WE women = Butches and Femmes just are not going to be reconized in a “Gay Mens world” at least not here in the tri-cities.
I so would love to be able to afford to open a Dance-Trance Club FOR LESBIANS ONLY…NO MEN PERIOD..
THAT MEANS NOT EVEN GAY MEN !!!!
(well I really do not want to be like them)
I have been doing some real soul searching and this needs to stop now the total ignoring of us Lesbians in this community by this gay mens club should be investigated by the higher ups in the proper venue if anyone has advice on where to go
please do share that with me.
